This time last year we embarked on an ambitious project to provide a 4G All Weather Pitch for our club. Through the fantastic fundraising efforts by our members and supporters, you have put your club within touching distance of the finishing line.

Plans are now at an advanced stage for the pitch and we are on target for a SUMMER 2018 start of construction.

However, to achieve this end result we will need one final push on our fundraising campaign.  For this, we will be embarking on the sale of the €120 draw tickets again which proved to be very successful last year when over  €11,000 in prize money was won by members of Castlebar Mitchels who purchased the tickets.

Details of the 4G Pitch:

The new 4G Astro Turf Pitch will measure 60 by 86 meters and will incorporate a 5 meter high Ball Wall. The Astro Turf area will be enclosed with a new 3 meter high fence and enhanced floodlighting of the area.

Funding and Finance:

The provision of the 4G pitch will be a capital project. In order to complete the financing of this project the Club has to raise more funds and we are asking supporters to contribute a minimum of €120 each to the Development Fund again in 2018.

You can choose to make a one off payment of €120 or choose a second option of 10 x €12 monthly payments.

By making this payment you will be contributing to the development of Gaelic Football in Castlebar and Mayo and you will be helping to improve the facilities available to our players.

By committing to this payment you will be included in the Mayo County Board draw, which has a prize fund of €97,000.

Over 90% of your €120 contribution will go directly to fundraising for this 4G Pitch while at the same time you will be in the draw for 222 Cash Prizes on offer by the Mayo County Board
