Castlebar Mitchels took part in a 7 A Side Blitz hosted by Frankfurt Sarsfields in Germany last month.

With 6 teams participating in a round robin format followed by quarter finals, semi finals and the final itself, Mitchels ran out as over all winners.

The participating teams were Mitchels, a Frankfurt selection, a mixed German selection and 3 Kerry Cromane teams.

All reports suggest that it was a very successful and enjoyable day out promoting the game in Frankfurt with local kids coming out to witness the competition.

The players that represented Mitchels in Germany was:

Luke Ruddy, Niall Feeney, John Dolan, Philip Ruddy, Eoghan Grady, John Gibbons, James Gallagher, Shane Dolan and Tony Hoban.
